ROSS Companies, a leader in multifamily acquisitions, property management and renovation in the Mid-Atlantic region, today announced that 2018 marks significant anniversaries for two of its affiliates. This year is the 35th anniversary of ROSS Development & Investment and the 30th anniversary of ROSS Management Services.

Scott Ross began the great story of ROSS in 1983 when he founded ROSS Development & Investment. After a half-decade of success in that arena, he and his wife, Beth, knew there was an opening in the market for a management company focused on creating real value by providing great living experiences and by staying on the cutting edge of dynamic technological trends. Thus, ROSS Management Services was born in 1988. The creation of ROSS Renovation & Construction followed later and that led to the formation of the parent company, ROSS Companies.

"Over the years, ROSS Companies has become the premier owner, operator and renovator of multifamily assets in the Mid-Atlantic region," said Dave Miskovich, CEO of ROSS Companies. "That's due to Scott's and Beth's strategic vision, the leadership team they've so carefully assembled and the incredibly talented, hard-working members of our organization. Throughout this year and at our upcoming annual employee recognition event, we will celebrate our anniversaries and our rich history. But 2018 will not be a time of resting on our laurels. Far from it."

In the year ahead, ROSS will be expanding its management portfolio in the Washington D.C. metro and in markets such as Richmond, Va., and Newport News, Va.

"These are areas in which our operational expertise and our commitment to innovative digital marketing and online reputation management give us a distinct advantage over other apartment managers, allowing us to deliver superior returns," Miskovich said.

"Today, ROSS Companies is widely respected as a local authority and continues to grow by attracting the highest caliber of multifamily professionals with local knowledge and experience," Miskovich said. "We've enjoyed a wonderful and rich 35-year history. Here's to another great 35 years!"

ROSS Management Services, a leader in multifamily property management in the Mid-Atlantic region, today announced the promotions of Tony Perichino to vice president of residential operations and Jeff Lawson to assistant vice president of residential operations.

Perichino will work closely with the ROSS executive team to promote the company and to help grow its third-party management portfolio in the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area and throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. He will also continue to oversee Seven Springs in College Park, Md., and Versailles in Towson, Md. Lawson will remain focused on building and fostering the company's relationships with third-party owners.

Perichino joined ROSS in 2017 as assistant vice president of residential operations and brings more than 20 years of multifamily and commercial real estate experience to his new position. Lawson has been with ROSS since 2015 and has more than 25 years of property management experience.

"We could not be more excited to promote Tony and Jeff. They are strategic, innovative professionals who will continue to serve as powerful boosts to our efforts to expand and strengthen our presence within the Mid-Atlantic region,” said Dave Miskovich, CEO of ROSS Companies, the parent company of ROSS Management Services. "Tony has an exceptional understanding of our internal business operations, as well as the markets in which ROSS operates. Jeff has taken on some of ROSS’ more challenging assets during his tenure, and is a real master when it comes to managing renovation projects. We know they will flourish in their new roles.”

Since rejoining ROSS in 2017 (he had previously worked as a regional property manager for the company), Perichino has taken on several challenging assignments. Prior to rejoining ROSS, Perichino served as director of residential management at The Tower Companies, where he oversaw $503 million of mixed-use real estate and served on the company’s Executive Committee. He has previously worked as a regional manager for Riverstone Residential/Greystar, and as an investment manager and regional education director for Pinnacle Family of Companies, where he received notable accolades, including the 2010 Investment Manager of the Year.

Some of Lawson's notable renovation projects at ROSS include Seven Springs, Crestleigh in Laurel, Md., and Charlestowne North in Greenbelt, Md. He previously worked at Asset Fund Services LCC and spent more than eight years at Washington Real Estate Investment Trust directly overseeing the residential division.

Perichino and Lawson have received their promotions at a time when ROSS is focusing on expanding outside the Washington, D.C., area and strengthening the corporate brand.

ROSS Management Services, a leader in multifamily property management in the Mid-Atlantic region, today announced that 11 ROSS-managed communities have received individual 2017 SatisFacts Resident Satisfaction Awards, having achieved an average score of at least 4 on their resident satisfaction surveys last year.

"At ROSS, we come to work each day with one overriding goal: to give our residents an incomparable living experience," said Dave Miskovich, CEO of ROSS Companies, the parent company of ROSS Management Services. "We have no higher priority than resident satisfaction. We are profoundly honored by these awards and believe they are a powerful validation of our commitment to our residents."

ROSS Management Services partners with SatisFacts to deliver customer satisfaction surveys to its residents at various touch points during their lease term - at move-in, after every work order and prior to renewal - to determine their satisfaction with the level of service they have received.

"Being a good operator requires being a good listener and making sure the lines of communication with your residents always remain wide open," Miskovich said. "We give our residents numerous opportunities to provide the kind of direct and honest feedback that then enables us to improve their living experience. We take their input very seriously, and we firmly believe that the constant and open communication we have with our residents is the primary driver of our outstanding customer service and our high renewal rates."

ROSS Companies, a leader in multifamily acquisitions, property management and renovation in the Mid-Atlantic region, today announced that it has received the Gift of Life Award from The Children's Cancer Foundation (CCF). The Columbia, Md.-based CCF is an independent nonprofit whose mission is to raise funds to support facilities, research and programs to aid in the treatment and cure of pediatric cancer.

ROSS Companies received the award in part for the $52,025 that the company and its corporate partners recently raised for CCF. Dave Miskovich, CEO of ROSS Companies, accepted on behalf of the company.

"It is a real honor to receive this award and to be able to help The Children's Cancer Foundation. This is an amazing, inspiring organization that is doing truly heroic work in the battle against pediatric cancer," Miskovich said. "We are so thankful to our corporate partners for helping us raise this money, and we look forward to continuing to support the foundation in the years ahead. Giving back to the community and helping those in need is one of ROSS's core operating principles, and it's a responsibility that we will always take very seriously."

"The Children’s Cancer Foundation was honored to present the 2017 Gift of Life Award to CEO Dave Miskovich and ROSS Companies," said Tasha Museles, executive director of CCF. "ROSS’s outstanding commitment to philanthropy and our local community made them an obvious nominee for this award. Together, we share a common goal of furthering research to find cures for pediatric cancer."

During the recent annual gala, CCF presented a check for $33,000 to The Children’s Inn at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Bethesda, Md. The donations of ROSS employees contributed to that total as well, as ROSS team members held various fundraisers throughout the year with the proceeds going to CCF and designated to The Children’s Inn.

The Children's Inn at NIH is a residential "place like home" for families with children participating in leading-edge research studies at NIH.

ROSS Management Services, a leader in multifamily property management in the Mid-Atlantic region, today announced the hiring of Tony Perichino as assistant vice president of operations. Perichino comes to ROSS from The Tower Companies, where he served as director of residential management, and brings 18 years of multifamily and commercial real estate experience, including his past tenure as a regional property manager for ROSS.

Perichino oversees third-party assignments for ROSS in the metro D.C. and Baltimore markets and assists with business development initiatives.
