20 October 2023

American Landmark Apartments, one of the fastest-growing multifamily owner-operators in the country, has been honored with Multifamily Executive’s grand prize in the Community Service category, recognizing its partnership with Millionaire Mastermind Academy to support career advancement among minority women. American Landmark received the top recognition from a competitive pool of nearly 240 nominations.

“We are honored to receive this recognition as part of the 2023 Multifamily Executive Awards and, more importantly, shine a light on the great work this partnership is doing,” said Joe Lubeck, CEO of American Landmark. “We are grateful to continue making a positive and meaningful impact on the communities we serve.”

Now in its third year, the partnership between American Landmark and Millionaire Mastermind Academy empowers minority women entrepreneurs to advance in the realm of real estate and property management. In 2021, the organizations joined forces on the Real Estate Accelerator Program, a 12-week initiative that was conducted at American Landmark’s headquarters in Tampa. Through American Landmark’s financial and content support, nine women participated in the program, which featured a blend of virtual education and in-person classes focused on enhancing professional skills in real estate. The next real estate accelerator program between the two partners is expected to commence next year.

In addition to the accelerator program, nearly 2,000 participants have been exposed to job opportunities and technical training in the commercial real estate industry through the collaboration.

“Our collaboration with Millionaire Mastermind Academy has had a profound effect on thousands of participants in the past few years, and we look forward to the future impact our partnership will have in facilitating the advancement of minority women in the real estate industry,” said Rachel Palmer, Chief Administrative Officer of American Landmark.

The program marks a significant stride toward fostering diversity and equity, seamlessly aligning with American Landmark’s mission to establish a healthy, equitable, and sustainable environment for its residents and the communities it serves.

For more than two decades, the Multifamily Executive Awards program has celebrated the industry's brightest people, best-in-class projects and inspiring initiatives across the nation. This year, from a competitive pool of nearly 240 nominations, the jurors selected 12 grand winners and 11 merit winners, with American Landmark's partnership with the Millionaire Mastermind Academy taking home the grand prize in the Community Service category.
