Beatrice Row, in Coral Gables, Florida was designed by De La Guardia Victoria Architects & Urbanists and developed by MG Developer

MG Developer proudly announces that its award-winning, Georgian style project, Beatrice Row, has now won Palladio Award for most outstanding residential multi-family project. The Palladio Awards is the first and only national awards program for residential, commercial and institutional projects that demonstrate excellence in traditional design. Designed by renowned firm de la Guardia Victoria Architects & Urbanists, Inc., this sophisticated row of grand townhomes is located in the, Biltmore Square neighborhood in Coral Gables, Florida.

Beatrice Row was formerly awarded the Addison Mizner Award, The Congress of New Urbanism Award and now the Palladio Award.

The 19th annual Palladio Awards, which was held at the Biltmore Hotel in December 1-2, honored and recognized 14 firms across the country for their outstanding work and achievement in traditional design: five in the commercial, institutional, and public architecture category and nine for residential work. All winners were selected for enhancing the beauty and humane qualities of the building, through the creative interpretation and adaptation of classical and traditional design principles developed through 2,500 years of Western architectural tradition, while taking its environment into consideration.

“We take great pride in all of the developments we build. They are a true labor of love, and Beatrice Row is one of those luxury developments, that not only complements the beautiful aesthetics of the City Beautiful but it also inspires creativity in the community,” said, Alirio Torrealba, CEO of MG Developer.

“MG Developer has built truly exemplary residences in Coral Gables, and Beatrice Row elevated the standard for luxury living in Coral Gables. We are not surprised that this award-winning row of residences has garnered another impressive recognition, with the latest Palladio Award. We are truly proud of this award and international recognition Beatrice Row has brought to our City Beautiful, blending in perfectly with Coral Gables’ rich culture, history, environment and aesthetic beauty. I congratulate them,” added Vince Lago, Mayor, City of Coral Gables

Beatrice Row is a three-story residential community of luxury townhomes boasting over 5,500 square feet. With a distinct level of elegant ‘row’ living, each townhome offers four bedrooms, four bathrooms and a powder room throughout three levels. The first level offers a 4-car garage with service area, as well as a walk-in laundry room, library and full bath. The second level serves as the home’s principal social floor, leading to a magnificent entryway displaying meticulously designed staircase, gourmet kitchens with refined custom cabinetry, Carrara countertops and premium appliances that create the ideal setting for high-end contemporary living. Other details such as private elevators, smart home automation, and expansive covered terraces accentuate the comforts of an opulent lifestyle. The third level of the home features the master suite with spa and a full bathroom decorated with arches.

The grand townhomes’ main entry and doorways are found directly on the sidewalk. Upon entry, guests are welcomed into a foyer area that has a beautifully decorated curving staircase that connects every floor and leads to the Piano Nobile on the second level.  As with Renaissance-era architecture, the Piano Nobile is where the main living spaces are and include the living room, dining room, kitchen, family room as well as a garden terrace.  Expansive arched windows in the living area allow the rays of light to reflect through the staircase which illuminates every floor accessible by a private elevator. The living room balconies provide views of the lush green canopies of the mahogany trees on the street as well as the magnificent Ficus

“We are very proud to have received the Palladio Award, especially for Beatrice Row. This project was unique in scope and serves a distinct affluent market,” said, Maria de la Guardia, Chief Architect, De La Guardia Victoria Architects & Urbanists, Inc. “When the developer told us they wanted to build a special European-inspired enclave following the footsteps of George Merrick’s vision for the City, we knew right away all of the design elements required to create a luxurious multi-family development worthy of worldly recognition.”

Located at 744 Biltmore Way, the Townhouse street elevation runs the length of the block from corner to corner in the manner of the English Terrace housing, much like the renowned Royal Crescent in the City of Bath and the terrace row homes in London.  Beatrice Row features a textured brick base, carved stone details and hand-crafted bronze-finished balconies.
