Aaron Cohen Joins CGI+ as COO

Aaron Cohen, who has nearly two decades of experience in multifamily operations, acquisition and asset management, has joined CGI+ Real Estate Investment Strategies as Chief Operating Officer.

 

Previously, Cohen spent 13 years at JRK Property Holdings, one of the nation’s largest multifamily owners and operators.  Rising to Executive Vice President, Cohen was responsible for overseeing the Asset Management and Property Management division for JRK which owns and operates more than 28,000 units across the country.   In his role as COO at CGI+, Cohen will help manage the firm’s growing $1.7 billion multifamily and mixed-used portfolio in Southern California, New York and major markets in the Southeast. His responsibilities will include overseeing the firm’s operating departments, including property operations, asset management, administrative functions, and the execution of all development, renovation, and construction activities.

 

Cohen is the latest of a growing list of industry professionals who have joined CGI+ Real Estate Strategies from some of the country’s most prestigious real estate firms, including CIM, Greystar, Berkadia, and G.H. Palmer Associates.

CGI+ is already a year ahead of its aggressive business plan to increase assets under management to $5 billion within the next five years. 

 

Cohen earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from UCLA. He will report directly to the CEO. He enjoys high adrenaline sports including scuba diving, snowboarding, rock climbing, and skydiving.
