Multifamily Developer AHS Residential Appoints Carlos Gonzalez as Chief Investment Officer and Thiago Caixeta as New Chief Financial Officer

AHS Residential is proud to announce Carlos E. Gonzalez’ new role as Chief Investment Officer (CIO) and Thiago Caixeta joins the company as the new Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

In his new role as CIO, Carlos is directly responsible for executing capital transaction strategies including arranging all debt and equity at the project level as well as disposition of assets.  He will continue to lead and manage AHS Residential teams responsible for project finance, real estate legal documentation, risk management, and funding all project related financing transactions while coordinating with business unit leaders in development, construction, and property management with a view of maximizing value and returns on each project investment.  In addition, Carlos will manage the asset management team responsible for monitoring each investment and executing investment sales strategies of AHS Residential completed projects.  Carlos has been a member of the Executive Management Team since 2015 and will continue to serve on the Finance, Investment and Audit Committees at AHS Residential.  Prior to assuming this new role, Carlos held the position of Chief Financial Officer from January 2015 to July 2021 responsible for company’s corporate finances, accounting, investor relations and financial reporting as well as project finance and capital markets.

With Carlos transitioning to this new role, Thiago will now serve as the Chief Financial Officer. In this role, Thiago will be responsible for managing the company’s corporate financial planning and strategy, accounting, treasury, and investor relations as well as processes restructuring and business analytics. As the CFO, Thiago will play a vital role in the company's long-term strategic initiatives.  Prior to joining AHS Residential, Thiago was Finance Director at MRV where he developed financial plans, prepared financial forecasts, and was responsible for treasure activities. Previously, he held senior positions at MRV including Corporate Executive Manager of Project Finance and Executive Manager of Human Resources and Organizational Development.

Thiago holds a bachelor's degree in control and automation engineering from the Federal University of Minas Gerais in Brazil and a postgraduate degree in finance from Ibmec. In addition, he holds an MBA from Fundação Dom Cabral (FDC) School of business.
