LMC, a leader in apartment development and operations, today announced the grand opening of The Morris, a luxury mixed-use apartment community located along Music Row at the site of country-music icon Dale Morris’ former office.

The Nov. 2 grand-opening celebration featured a bevy of music industry figures, including a live performance from Benton Blount, a finalist on America’s Got Talent. Speakers at the event for the music-themed development included country music singer Louise Mandrell, LMC Divisional President Chris Cassidy and Morris, the guest-of-honor. The Morris features a music studio, rooftop performance stage and several other odes to the country music industry.

“The Morris is among the most unique communities we’ve ever had the pleasure of developing, and we’re ecstatic to be a part of Music Row at such an iconic location,” Cassidy said. “The grand-opening celebration was a fitting way to kick-start what we believe will be an authentic Nashville experience for our music-loving residents. We’re truly honored to celebrate Dale’s legacy with the community and cannot wait to welcome home our new residents.”

The community, which contains 344 apartment homes and 6,000 feet of ground-floor retail, is adorned with music paraphernalia and music-themed design throughout the building that closely reflects the rich music history of Nashville. That includes two autographed Alabama guitars from the band’s farewell tour in 2003, Morris’ songwriting guitar and, in the mailroom, big-picture views of Kenny Chesney’s stadium tours. The latter is significant because no country music artist had previously done an entire tour of stadiums. The leasing office features memorabilia from the Bama House, which Morris created as a temporary 5,000-square-foot Nashville home for Alabama.

Since relocating from his native South Carolina to Nashville in 1969, Morris ascended from humble beginnings to develop a generation of innovators – both as artists and executives. A career that was unearthed by writing the song Don’t Monkey With Another Monkey’s Monkey for Johnny Paycheck evolved into management gigs with Alabama, Kenny Chesney, Jake Owen, Martina McBride and Old Dominion. An astonishing amount of music history was developed at this site, as Morris holds the distinction of becoming the first manager in the history of the entertainment industry to help guide artists to 16 Entertainer of the Year awards.

The Morris, located southwest of downtown in the Midtown submarket, captures the aura of the Nashville music scene in which Morris has been such an integral figure. The community is notable for its proximity to downtown, Vanderbilt University and The Gulch, an urban development on the edge of the Central Business District that plays host to numerous live music performances.

The Morris consists of studio, 1- and 2-bedroom homes and is pet friendly. Additional community amenities include a rooftop club with pool, fitness center, clubroom, a seventh-floor outdoor terrace with grill stations and skyline views of Music City, a pet spa, and bike parking and repair station. Apartment interiors are equipped with condo-level finishes, including quartz countertops, stainless steel appliances, in-home washers and dryers, ceiling fans and luxury wood-like flooring. LMC, a leader in apartment development and management, today announced it has broken ground on Vireo, a luxury apartment community in the city’s thriving Midtown district.

The high-rise development, to feature 310 apartment homes, is situated amidst the cultural pulse of the city in a walkable, pedestrian-friendly neighborhood. LMC broke ground on Aug. 21 and initial move-ins are anticipated for spring 2019.

“Midtown is an eclectic market that features a little bit of everything, and we’re excited for the opportunity to become a part of it,” said Chris Cassidy, Division President of the Southeast for LMC. “We believe Vireo, with its instant access to the neighborhood and close proximity to Peachtree Street, will provide an unmatched living experience.”

As part of the development process, LMC’s ground-level efforts will allow the sidewalks on 13th Street to be widened, which will assist the area in its transition into a more pedestrian-friendly locale. To enable residents to experience and take part of that vibe, Vireo will include ground-level terrace porches along 13th Street.

Situated at 195 13th Street NE, Vireo is superbly positioned within blocks of Midtown’s restaurants, museums, theaters, nightlife options and flourishing job sector. The community also is one block away from Piedmont Park, which is known as the outdoor epicenter of the city. The park includes jogging paths, basketball courts, athletic fields, dog parks, a farmer’s market and direct access to the Atlanta BeltLine, a multi-use trail that connects to many locales across the city.

Culturally adept Midtown is also home to world-renown Fox Theater, Woodruff Arts Center, High Museum of Art and Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. Situated between Buckhead to the north and Downtown to the south, Midtown attracts about six million visitors annually and is the second largest business district in the city.

Several public transit options are within close proximity of Vireo, including two MARTA train stations. LMC, a leader in apartment development and management, today announced the topping off of two luxury apartment communities, Valdok and Axle, in Seattle. Structural framing was finished at Valdok’s first building in the city’s Ballard neighborhood on Aug. 10. Axle, located in the Interbay neighborhood, topped off on Sept. 1.

Valdok, a seven-story luxury development, will feature 178 apartment homes. Axle, which is pursuing LEED Gold certification, will offer 226 apartment homes contained within eight stories. First move-ins at Valdok and Axle are anticipated during the summer of 2018.

“Seattle is a tremendously strong multifamily market with a lot of development ongoing. We are thrilled with the timely progress being made at both of these communities,” said Brad Reisinger, divisional president of the Pacific Northwest for LMC. “We believe these communities not only will meet the market demand for exceptional housing, but will exceed market expectations for state-of-the-art amenities and a vintage Seattle living experience.”

Situated at 1701 NW 56th Street, Valdok’s two buildings are located across 56th Street from one another in northwestern Seattle. The community design was inspired by the Valdok family’s deep Scandinavian roots and heritage, and embraces the neighborhood’s Northern European history as it continues to evolve. The community is near a working waterfront bustling with some of Seattle’s trendiest bars, shops and dining spots. Ballard’s convenience to downtown jobs via the Ballard Bridge and 15th Ave NW makes it appealing to those who work downtown or in South Lake Union but aspire to experience a quintessential Seattle neighborhood.

Axle, located at 3230 16th Avenue West, links the Queen Anne, Magnolia and Ballard neighborhoods.  The area has become a burgeoning hub for multifamily communities. A city thoroughfare in itself, the Interbay neighborhood provides immediate access to a variety of retail, entertainment districts, parks, trails and waterways. The community is a short drive from Seattle’s largest park, Discovery Park, and is approximately one mile from Expedia’s new headquarters campus via a dedicated bike path.

Valdok will consist of studio, 1- and 2-bedroom apartment homes with den layouts available, ranging in square footage from 485 to 1,384. Axle will consist of 1- and 2-bedroom apartment homes with den layouts available, with a square-footage range of 510 to 1,340. Both communities will have common-area amenities that include a clubhouse with full kitchen and gaming area, co-working spaces with state-of-the-art technology, top-of-the-line 24-hour fitness centers, pet parks with dog wash and grooming stations, rooftop decks, fireplaces and BBQ grills, outdoor lounge areas, 24-hour package service and offer bike storage and additional storage.

Apartment interiors at both Valdok and Axle will be equipped with quartz countertops, designer lighting, stainless steel high-end kitchen appliances, hardwood-style plank flooring, full-size washers and dryers, ceramic tile tub surrounds, lighted mirrors, and under-cabinet lighting. Select units will offer a suite of smart-home features.

Included is Valdok II, which is under construction and scheduled to open in 2019. LMC recently completed Atlas in Issaquah, Wash, The Whittaker in West Seattle and Twenty-20 Mad on Capitol Hill in Seattle.
