Deseo Grande is American Landmark’s first ground-up, new-build apartment

ORLANDO  – A joint venture between American Landmark Apartments, one of the fastest-growing multifamily owner-operators in the country, and Dezer Development, developer of high-end residences such as the Porsche Design Tower and Residences by Armani/Casa, held an official groundbreaking ceremony today for Deseo Grande, a new $78 million, luxury Class A apartment community in one of the most desirable markets in the country.

Located at 5250 International Drive in Orlando, directly adjacent to Dezerland Park Orlando (formerly the Artegon Marketplace), Deseo Grande will deliver 365 spacious one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartment homes featuring elegant finishes, state-of-the-art technology, and resort-style amenities. The community is scheduled for completion in April 2022, with rents likely to range from $1,500 to $2,400 per month.

Deseo Grande is American Landmark’s first ground-up, new-build apartment community. The company currently owns and operates over 33,000 garden-style apartments throughout Florida and the Southeastern U.S.

“We had an unprecedented opportunity to partner with Dezer Development to build our first ground-up apartment community on a one-of-a-kind site in the heart of Orlando, and to be a part of Dezer’s visionary repositioning of the former Artegon Marketplace into a dynamic 24-hour, mixed-use community,” said Lubeck. “Deseo Grande will be the crown jewel of our portfolio and will marry all the best design, technology and amenities that have been successfully implemented at our other high-performing multifamily properties.”

Added Michael Dezer, Principal, Dezer Development, “We’re pleased to partner with America Landmark Apartments once again. Deseo Grande’s high-end rental residences will provide a perfect complement to the attractions and retail at Dezerland Park Orlando.”

Deseo Grande will consist of a five-story, elevatored building and a four-story parking garage, on a 6.5-acre site. Apartment units will range in size from 754 square feet to 1,250 square feet, with all featuring 9-foot ceilings, walk-in-closets, patio or balcony and in-unit washer/dryer. Kitchens will offer elegant stainless steel appliances and quartz countertops. The pet-friendly community will also offer a central courtyard with resort-style swimming pool, summer grill, 24-hour fitness center, pet spa and bark park.

The design team for Deseo Grande is general contractor BCC Construction Group of Orlando; architect Baker Barrios Architects of Orlando; and VHB Engineering of Orlando.

Pre-leasing for Deseo Grande will begin in July 2021. For more information, please visit www.alapts.com.

The Foundation annually celebrates the efforts of local officials, businesses, individuals and organizations focused on improving the lives of pets and their people, and a recognition of the joy pets bring to our lives. The Foundation expanded its awards program, now in its seventh year, to include the inaugural Pet Pawsitive Award to recognize organizations with pet friendly policies that benefit their employees and customers, enrich the community and make a positive impact on pets and their people.

“Each year, I look forward to meeting the impressive individuals and organizations who are doing incredible work for pets in their communities and across the country,” said Dr. Gary Michelson, founder of Michelson Found Animals Foundation. “Whether spearheading animal rights legislation or making the world a little more pet friendly, their combined efforts play a huge role in the future of animal welfare.
