Premier multifamily management company earns “A” grade in bi-annual ApartmentRatings SatisFacts Top Management Companies list and 2020 ORA™ Elite 1% Award from J Turner Research

Charlotte, NC (April 19, 2021) — RKW Residential, a multifamily management firm that has quickly evolved into an industry leader on the strength of its People First Philosophy, received two significant recognitions from highly regarded resident satisfaction agencies.

The company earned an epIQ grade of “A” in the ApartmentRatings SatisFacts “Top Management Companies” list. Nearly 30 RKW-managed apartment communities were also honored as ApartmentRatings “Top Rated Communities” award winners.

Twice a year, SatisFacts releases the epIQ Index, which measures the resident experience and community performance based on SatisFacts surveys and reviews on ApartmentRatings.com.  RKW made significant moves, climbing from a July 2020 ranking of #58 to #31 in January 2021.

RKW also saw a 30% increase in the number of communities placing on the 2020 Elite 1% ORA™ Power Ranking by J Turner Research, the leading market research firm exclusively serving the multifamily industry. The annual ranking is based on monthly online reputation research of more than 122,000 apartments across multiple review sites and Internet Listing Services.

To earn this distinction, a community had to register a minimum ORA™ score of 90 (on a scale of 0-100). The national average ORA™ is 65.73.

The community rankings follow RKW making the list of the industry’s top management companies in the 2020 ORA™ Power Ranking for online reputation management.

“These recognitions are particularly special because they get to the core of our operating mission to provide superior customer service to our residents,” RKW SVP of Marketing & Strategy Joya Pavesi said. “When you create an enjoyable living experience and are attentive to the daily needs of residents, everything else falls into place. I cannot thank our incredible team members enough for all they do to make accolades like these possible.”

Dermot Company makes initial foray into state with Seabourn Cove in Boynton Beach

Boynton Beach, FL (March 9, 2021) — New York-based multifamily investor Dermot Company retained premier property management firm RKW Residential to oversee its inaugural Florida community. RKW is managing Dermot’s Seabourn Cove in Boynton Beach.

Dermot’s recent acquisition of the upscale apartment community underscores the intense demand for South Florida multifamily assets from New York investors. The continued migration to the region from New York and other high-tax states makes high-end communities like Seabourn Cove particularly desirable.

Developed in two phases, Seabourn Cove is comprised of a 308-unit community at 3501 N. Federal Hwy. and a 148-unit community at 3480 Old Dixie Hwy. It includes a mix of one, two and three-bedroom apartments ranging from 888 square feet to 1,719 square feet. Amenities include two heated swimming pools, two modern fitness centers with an indoor basketball court and a fenced-in pet park.

Before the Seabourn Cove acquisition, Dermot primarily focused on multifamily properties in New York and North Carolina. RKW also manages the company’s Pointe at Crabtree community in Raleigh, North Carolina.

“It is exciting to have another opportunity to partner with Dermot and facilitate a successful debut for the company in Florida,” RKW Partner and SVP of Client Services John Zalkin said. “Seabourn Cove is a beautiful community in an optimal location for anyone relocating to – or already established in – Palm Beach County.”

The Treasures and Central Gardens communities are RKW’s first assignments with respective owners Mast Capital of Miami and L&L Holding Co. of New York.

In late 2020, RKW made its first appearance in the Charlotte Business Journal “Fast 50” ranking of the region’s fastest-growing private companies. RKW ranked No. 16 in the 2020 list.

RKW was recently recognized by Multi-Housing News as the nation’s second-fastest growing multifamily management company in the publication’s 2020 rankings. The company appeared on the Multi-Housing News 2020 “Top Property Managers” list for the second consecutive year.

Prolific firm takes over management and leasing of EDEN Multifamily’s 349-unit community

Miami, FL (Oct. 30, 2020) — RKW Residential added another luxury apartment community to its expanding South Florida portfolio. The premier multifamily management firm is now overseeing Lazul in North Miami Beach.

Developed by EDEN Multifamily, Lazul is an 8-story, 349-unit apartment building in the heart of North Miami Beach’s Town Center district. “We had the opportunity to tour Lazul when it first opened and were blown away by the quality of the building, individual units and amenities,” RKW President Marcie Williams said. “RKW is thrilled to have the chance to play a direct role in the successful operation of this exceptional community. Lazul fills a void for high-end apartment product catering to professionals and families in North Miami Beach and nearby cities, including Aventura.”

Common area Wi-Fi and large community gathering spaces are a dynamic feature of the community.

EDEN also enhanced the public greenspace along the Snake Creek Canal with extensive landscaping, public seating, a walking path/bikeway and a significant public art installation.

“Lazul is a crown jewel of our portfolio of successful urban infill multifamily developments,” EDEN’s Jacobson said. “It is also an important catalyst for the City of North Miami Beach and its revitalized Town Center district. With a top-tier management company like RKW at the helm, Lazul is in great hands.”
