CARROLLTON, GA - Construction is underway on Bellamy Carrollton Student Apartments – the newest private housing for University of West Georgia students. Located directly across the street from campus, the community is now leasing apartments for its opening in Fall 2020.

The fully-furnished, pet-friendly community offers 3- and 4-bedroom apartments as well as 5-bedroom two-story townhomes. Each bedroom has a private bath and study area. Each apartment has a living area with large flatscreen TV, chef-inspired kitchen with stainless steel appliances, and washer and dryers.

Mallory & Evans Development is building the gated community.

“We expect this to be the most luxurious and private student housing available in the market,” says Mallory & Evans Principal Brantley Basinger. “Plus, the 5-bedroom garden-style townhomes are unique in the UWG area. We have a strong track record in student housing, making each new community better than the last.”

Bellamy Carrollton will offer smart home technology such as Amazon Alexa – which can also control the thermostat, TV and smart locks – and free WiFi in common areas. The outdoor space features a resort-style pool, gathering areas with grills, fire pits, hammocks, a dog park and more. The spacious clubhouse will offer 24/7 access to the fitness center, study rooms and computer lounge. It will also have a tanning studio. Activities, such as resident appreciation events, are planned as well. Peak Campus will provide onsite management and maintenance.

Multifamily property management firm Caliber Living announces that Bellamy Daytona Student Apartments, scheduled to open in August, is already 100% leased. Bellamy Daytona, which has 376 beds, is the newest student housing community in Daytona Beach, Florida. What’s more, Caliber announces that it has signed new management contracts as well.

“The rapid lease-up of Bellamy Daytona shows both the need for high-quality student housing in the market – plus that Caliber has the people and processes to achieve excellent results,” said Caliber President Rick Jones. “We were especially proud to successfully complete the lease-up two months before the community is set to open.

Bellamy Daytona is open to all students of higher education institutions including Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Daytona Beach; Daytona State College; The Florida State University College of Medicine, Daytona Beach; The University of Central Florida, Daytona Beach; Bethune-Cookman University; and Keiser University, Daytona Beach.

Caliber is also now managing three new communities which will break ground this summer.

They include two more student housing communities in the Bellamy brand:

* Bellamy Carrollton at The University of West Georgia in Carrollton, Georgia, which will have 628 beds.

* Bellamy Western, a 248-bed project at Western Carolina University in Cullowhee, North Carolina.

Caliber will also manage Flagship Kern’s – a new community and brand for young adults being constructed in Knoxville, Tennessee. The 160 boutique-style apartments will lease by the bed and are part of the mixed-use redevelopment of the historic Kern’s Bakery south of downtown. The community represents a new type of housing with amenities designed to appeal to Millennials and members of Generation Z – including young professionals, graduate students, medical students and upper classmen.

Mallory & Evans Development is developing the Bellamy and Flagship branded communities. Mallory & Evans Partners, which specializes in mixed-use development, is redeveloping Kern’s Bakery in Knoxville. Completion is expected by the Fall of 2020.

Student housing developer Mallory & Evans is planning its first Florida project – Bellamy Daytona. The $26 million community is the firm’s seventh student housing development and its first in the Florida market.

“This will fill a big need while offering the most private, upscale and high-tech amenities in the area,” said Mallory & Evans Principal Brantley Basinger. “Only two of at least six colleges and universities in Daytona Beach offer student housing at all. Plus, Bellamy Daytona features amenities no other local student-centered apartments will offer.”

The gated, four-story resort-style community will have 96 fully-furnished apartments with 376 private bedrooms. Unlike other apartments in the market, each bedroom will have its own private bath and study area. It will also be the only student community to have five-bedroom apartments, which will be two-story penthouses overlooking the community’s lake and fountain. Three- and four-bedroom apartments with lake views will also be available.

It will be open to all students of higher education institutions including:

* Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Daytona Beach

* Daytona State College

* The Florida State University College of Medicine, Daytona Beach

* The University of Central Florida, Daytona Beach

* Bethune-Cookman University

* Keiser University, Daytona Beach

Its location on quiet Jimmy Ann Drive is walking distance to ONE Daytona – the newly-opened destination with world-class shops, restaurants and entertainment venues. It’s also near Halifax Hospital, which is convenient for the area’s many students in the healthcare industry.

Each apartment will have a full kitchen with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances, a washer and dryer, and living rooms with large flat screen TVs. Every apartment will have “smart house” features including Amazon Alexa, thermostats and keyless entry locks operated through smartphone apps. Cable TV and WiFi Internet access are also available. The clubhouse will have a 24-hour fitness center, tanning studio and social activities. The resort-style pool and sundeck will extend over the community lake. Other amenities include roommate matching services and environmentally-friendly bike racks.

“We are also excited to be entering a market serving both private and public universities,” Basinger said. “We are pursuing opportunities in other high-growth markets with similar dynamics – with a number of projects in the pipeline,” he added.

Construction and leasing are expected to begin this summer with the apartments ready for the 2019 fall semester. Caliber Living is managing and leasing the Bellamy student housing brand.
