The Lawson Family Foundation proudly announced the results of its annual charitable giving campaign, with 163 Lawson team members directing a total of $40,750 to 66 charitable organizations that positively impact people in the communities where we live and work.

As part of the Foundation’s commitment to philanthropy, Lawson team members are given the opportunity to designate $250 to a nonprofit organization of their choice. This initiative ensures that employees can support causes they are passionate about while strengthening the foundation’s mission of giving back to the community.

“Philanthropy is a core part of Lawson’s culture, and we are honored to empower our team members to support the organizations that matter most to them.” said Chairman, Steve Lawson. “Through this initiative, we are not only making a financial impact but also reinforcing the foundation of service and generosity built by generations before us.”

The 66 recipient organizations span a wide range of causes, including housing and homelessness, education, healthcare and wellness, animal welfare, arts, and community support services. By enabling team members to choose their beneficiaries, the Lawson Family Foundation ensures that its contributions reflect the diverse values and interests of its workforce.

The Lawson Family Foundation is also currently accepting scholarship applications through the Hampton Roads Community Foundation. The Foundation awarded the child of a Lawson employee and the child of a Lawson property resident with four-year college scholarships in 2023 and 2024 and is repeating the education initiative for 2025. Lawson Family Foundation scholarships are managed by the Hampton Roads Community Foundation. Applications for qualified applicants are open through March 1, 2025, at www.hamptonroadscf.org.
