WPD Management Spends Summer Giving Back to Local Organizations

02 August 2021

Employees with WPD Management, a property management company operating throughout the south side of Chicago, made a meaningful impact so far this summer, volunteering at two different organizations in June and July.

“Giving back has always been an important part of our company,” said COO Patrick Ryan. “By offering two volunteer days so far this year for our employees, we recognize the critical role nonprofit organizations play in our community and the responsibility we all have in helping them succeed.”

In June, 16 team members volunteered at Humble Design, lending a hand in the bed frame section helping organize and assemble. Their organizational efforts will allow designers to quickly work through the warehouse and serve more families in need of their help. Through Volunteering Untapped Chicago, 12 team members volunteered to clean up Harold Washington Park in July.

In addition, Property Manager Traci Haskell has been named one of three finalists for Property Manager of the Year for the 2021 Illinois Real Estate Journal Awards. A key detail for her recognition was going above and beyond to organize a toy drive in December 2020 that provided more than 150 toys and gifts at her Englewood community building.

“WPD is committed to building strong and effective relationships with residents, communities served, team members, and clients,” said Ryan. “By prioritizing those we serve, we are able to set higher standards for multi-family housing and property management throughout Chicago’s South Side.”

In March 2021, the company launched WPD Cares, a platform that connects nonprofits and community groups with the volunteers they need. WPD Cares is an initiative that gives back to residents, communities served, and employees. Nonprofit organizations and other entities doing work throughout the south side of Chicago are encouraged to submit their volunteer requests at www.wpdmanagement.com/wpd-cares
