GlobeSt. Real Estate Forum selects RangeWater Real Estate’s Executive Managing Director of Property Management, Sherry Freitas, as a 2023 Woman of Influence within the Property / Facility Manager category. She is among the top women executives who impact the market and drive their respective industries to new heights through outstanding leadership. Freitas will receive this honor at the fourth annual GlobeSt. Women of Influence Conference, which will take place at the Everline Resort in Lake Tahoe, CA, on July 25th.

An industry veteran with over 25 years of multifamily experience, Freitas served as Senior Managing Director of Property Management at RangeWater Real Estate before her promotion to Executive Managing Director earlier this year. In this role, she spearheads RangeWater’s growth strategy across the Sun Belt and Mountain West regions, where residential communities are in high demand. RangeWater most recently claimed the #12 spot on the 2023 National Multifamily Housing Council’s Top 50 Managers list with nearly 100,000 apartments and build-to-rent homes under management. Jumping from its previous list ranking of #17 in 2022 and #33 in 2021, RangeWater has more than doubled the number of communities in its portfolio since 2020.
With a bachelor’s degree in business administration in marketing from Radford University and a Certified Property Manager through the Institute of Real Estate Management, Freitas has extensive experience in multifamily housing, having worked for industry players such as Greystar, Wood Partners, Waterton Associates, and ING Real Estate in high-density markets throughout the U.S., Europe, South America, and Asia Pacific. Freitas is also a member of several associations related to the multifamily housing industry, including the National Apartment Association, the Georgia Apartment Association, and the Atlanta Apartment Association.
