– Lawson is pleased to announce the promotion of Marla Posey to Director of Training and Development.

Posey joined Lawson in February 2021 as a Regional Property Manager overseeing ten properties, including the lease-up of a new tax-credit community, The Foundry Apartments in Richmond, VA.

In her new role, Posey is accountable for the planning and execution of training programs for Lawson team members as well as onboarding and orientation programs for new employees. Additionally, she acts as the operational liaison with in-house development, construction, property operations, and corporate teams to ensure the success of new multifamily development projects from planning through lease-up.

Posey is a national multifamily keynote and education speaker, a faculty member at the National Apartment Association Education Institute, and a regular contributor to industry trade publications. She was a returning speaker at the 2022 Virginia Apartment Management Association Conference in Norfolk, VA presenting the topic, “Professional Networking – The Why, The What, & The How: Building genuine relationships while expanding your professional reach”. Posey recently participated in Governor Younkin’s Housing Affordability Listening Session and represented Lawson in a discussion hosted by the Department of Housing and Community Development to develop guidelines for a state rental assistance program.
