Lawson is proud to announce the retirement of Susan Satira, Vice President of Lawson and President of Lawson Realty Corp, the company’s property management division. After an exceptional 35-year career marked by dedication, leadership, and transformative impact, Satira will retire at the end of September.

Satira began working with Lawson in 1990 as a Leasing Agent and quickly rose through the ranks. By 1993, she was a Property Manager, and in 1996, she became a Regional Property Manager, a role she held until 2001. That year, Susan’s forward-thinking approach led to the creation of Lawson’s compliance department, where she served as Director of Compliance. Her leadership and strategic vision earned her continued advancement, becoming Director of Property Management in 2007, and ultimately being named President of Lawson Realty Corp in 2015 and Vice President of Lawson in 2017.

“Sue’s contributions to Lawson over the past three and a half decades are immeasurable,” said Aaron Phipps, President and CEO of Lawson. “Her commitment to operational excellence, team development, and resident satisfaction set a standard for the organization. Her leadership will be deeply missed.”

Throughout her career, Satira has been a trusted mentor and respected leader who helped shape Lawson’s multifamily operations and culture. Her leadership played a critical role in the growth and success of Lawson’s property portfolio.

"It's been an extraordinary privilege to be a part of Lawson's evolution, and to work alongside such talented and committed people.”, said Satira. “I'm deeply proud of the work we've done together and the impact we've had on the communities we serve."

In retirement, Satira plans to travel, spend time with family, explore advisory and mentoring opportunities in the industry, and volunteer with organizations she’s passionate about.
