BH Management Services (BH), a Pretium company and one of the nation’s premier property management platforms in multifamily and build-to-rent housing, announced today that Melody King, previously Chief Operating Officer of Property Operations, has been promoted to President of BH. In her new role, King will help drive alignment across the organization and lead our management company into the next phase of growth.
Joanna Zabriskie will continue as CEO with a focus on positioning the company for continued growth by raising capital, extending BH’s position in the market through portfolio acquisitions and partnerships, and strengthening alignment across the Pretium residential ecosystem.
King has been a vital part of BH since 2013, bringing nearly 30 years of experience spanning every facet of multifamily and student housing. She began her career as a leasing consultant and advanced through a variety of operational and leadership roles, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the industry from the ground up. Her career reflects a blend of strategic vision and operational excellence, both hallmarks of her leadership approach. Over the past twelve years at BH, she has played a pivotal role in driving performance, fostering collaboration, and elevating the company’s culture of innovation.
“The industry is evolving faster than ever, and we continue to focus on refining the systems and operations that make BH’s centralized platform so powerful,” said King. “Our strategic framework isn’t just efficient, it’s empowering, giving our teams the technology, data, and autonomy to focus on what really matters: creating spaces where people live and thrive.”
“Mel has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership, strategic insight, and a deep commitment to our mission,” said Joanna Zabriskie, CEO of BH. “Her experience as a high-impact leader will be crucial for leading our teams through this next phase of growth. It’s an exciting time for BH.”
