Momentous Sports, a global sports and real estate investment platform backed by quarterbacks Tim Tebow, John Elway, Blake Bortles, and other investors, has named Samir Yajnik as Managing Director of Investments.
In this role, Yajnik will oversee fund strategy and deployment, lead investment evaluation and allocation, and direct fund governance and investor communications. He will also build and manage the firm’s diligence team and partner with portfolio companies and real estate projects to drive operational excellence and value creation across Momentous Sports’ expanding investment portfolio.
Yajnik brings more than two decades of experience in institutional real estate, private equity, and capital markets, having executed and closed more than $2 billion in acquisitions and developments spanning hospitality, mixed-use, multifamily, office, and retail sectors. He previously served as Chief Investment Officer at Satori Collective, where he led investment strategy and execution across $200 million in transactions and served as a voting member of the investment committee.
Earlier in his career, Yajnik was Senior Vice President and Head of Investments and Capital Markets at Encore Capital Management, where he oversaw $600 million in real estate assets and helped lead the development of major projects including Miami Worldcenter, Margaritaville Resort Orlando, and Plantation Walk. Prior to that, he was Managing Director at DeBartolo Development, where he directed $400 million in acquisitions across hospitality, multifamily, and retail. His earlier roles with Swerdlow Group, NewStar Financial, and GE Capital further deepened his experience in structured finance, capital markets, and cross-border deal execution.
“Samir’s track record of disciplined investing and his ability to identify long-term value align perfectly with the foundation we’re building,” said Marley Hughes, Founder and CEO of Momentous Sports. “He understands how to connect institutional capital with growth opportunities that create lasting impact across sports and real estate.”
“I’m thrilled to join a team that’s reshaping how investment and innovation intersect,” said Yajnik. “Momentous is bringing together best-in-class operators, investors, and partners to drive meaningful growth across a new category of sports and real estate investments.”
Based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Yajnik holds a Master of Science in Real Estate from the University of Florida and completed the Advanced Management Development Program in Real Estate at Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance with a Minor in Computer Science Engineering from the University of Kentucky, where he was a four-year member of the Men’s Division I Tennis Team.
