Statement from the National Multifamily Housing Council (NMHC) and National Apartment Association (NAA) following Brian Montgomery’s confirmation as Director of the Federal Housing Administration (FHA):

“NMHC/NAA congratulate Brian Montgomery as the newly confirmed Director of FHA. His deep experience and knowledge of the housing industry positions him well to lead FHA and we look forward to working with him to develop sensible housing policies that recognize the importance of the apartment sector.

“By 2030 the nation will need to build 4.6 million new apartments and balanced, thoughtful policy measures will be critical to reaching that mark. Montgomery is a strong partner for the apartment industry as we look to encourage development, drive growth and create jobs.”
